Accessibility Guide

Hull Jobshop is committed to improving access to services for people who have disabilities or for whom English might not be their first language. To make the Hull Jobshop website as accessible as possible, the following features have been implemented:

• Accessibiity Options - the graphic panel on each page enables you to select the size of text which is preferred to read text on our website

• Keyboard access - access keys and tab index to allow quick access for people who prefer to use the keyboard

Changing the text size

To increase the size of the text in your browser -

• Microsoft Internet Explorer - all versions - Select the View menu at the top of your browser window. A list of options will appear as a drop down menu, choose Text Size. In the next drop down menu choose Larger.

• Firefox - all versions - With your Firefox browser open, hold down the CTRL button on your keyboard and press the plus (+) key. This will enlarge the text. Repeat the procedure to enlarge again. If you need to make the text smaller, hold down the CTRL button on your keyboard and press the minus (-) key. 
  Alternatively, select the View menu at the top of your browser. A list of options will appear, choose Zoom and choose Zoom Text Only. Then in the View menu, select Zoom and choose Zoom Out.

• Apple Safari - all versions - With your Safari browser open, hold down the Apple key on your keyboard and press the plus (+) key. This will enlarge the text. Repeat the procedure to enlarge again. If you need to make the text smaller, hold down the Apple key on your keyboard and press the minus (-) key.

Website Availability

We want our website to be a useful and usable resource that gives users 24 hour-a-day access to our services and information. This means making sure our website is available as much of the time as possible, and keeping disruptions to a minimum.

We aim to keep our website service available for at least 95% of the time.
